    Hi guys,

    I have KRC5, KR16 R1610 robot and siemens PLC

What I wanna do is transfering the program number as double integer.

I tried it by connect 32 bits but it didn't work.

I tried it by connect first 16 bits normally and reversed second 16 bits. It didn!t work eaither.

Can someone help me about how to transfer 32 bit between plc and krc5

    Thank you

did you try to define the signal 32bits long and send the number through it?

this is very vague, what did you try? What did not work? Did you set correct length on signal? Did you do the mapping correctly? Did you do byteswap on either plc or robot side?

When working with Siemens, one need to consider endinanness though i do not recall exact byte order. normally this is something one would do once and forget about.

my suggestion is to define five signals like this:

    SIGNAL B1 $OUT[1] TO $OUT[8]

    SIGNAL B2 $OUT[9] TO $OUT[16]

    SIGNAL B3 $OUT[17] TO $OUT[24]

    SIGNAL B4 $OUT[25] TO $OUT[32]

    SIGNAL B_ALL $OUT[1] TO $OUT[32] ; this is combined 32-bit signal

    and put different values into B1 - B4. i would use something like 101, 102, 103, 104 (range is 0..255)

also look on PLC side at your 32 bits as four bytes. then you should be able to see exactly what the order is. with this you can modify your program or mapping in WoV.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

If memory serves I´d recall that you swap the whole 32bit range.

Did you set correct signal type?
