    Hi all,

    I have KUKA KRC2 with Version V5.5.16

I am unable to take backup of robot using USB or save it in any drives. When I click on File/Archive/All, It will show in screen as 'Save files' , unfortunately after some minutes it will show as 'archiving cancelled'.

What can be the reason for this? can anyone kindly share your thoughts and recommendations.

Please check the attached images for my 'Archive Manager'. I have a different robot with same archive configuration where I get archiving successfully completed.

    Thanks In advance

Never seen that message before. Did the Archiving work on this robot previously?

Does the A drive still work?

When you attach a USB drive, does it show up in the Explorer as U:\?

Check logs for details. Also try partial archive to narrow down the problem - try just programs or just message logs or just single file. It may be some locked file in which case one or more partial archives may work

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

    Hai SkyeFire,

    Many Thanks for the reply,

This robot was idle for a long time and it came from another site, I really do not know whether archiving was working before.

Yes ,the A drive is in working condition

Yes,I can see the Explorer as U:\ when I attach USB

    Regards

    Hai Panic mode,

    Many thanks for the reply,

I have tried the partial archives, taking backup individually like Application/Machine Data/Configure/Log Data

this steps worked ,I got archiving succeeded

However, the application backup occasionally fails. After several tries, I will get a successful backup for application archive.

    Regards

    Advmin.

Well, with no obvious smoking gun, we're down to trial and error. Change one thing, try it out.

    1. Try multiple USB sticks

    2. Try multiple USB sockets on the KRC (including the ones directly on the motherboard)

    3. Try removing the A: path in KRCConfigurator

    4. Try removing the U: path

    5. create a backup directory on the D: drive, then point the default Archive path at it.
