trouble arc welding from UOP

    Hi all,

    So I was able to weld before I switched from local to remote. now when the program starts from UOP, the program starts, feeds wire out but it doesn't arc and I get ARC-013 alarm. Any suggestions?

    I've gone through my UOP setup multiple times to make sure everything is set up accurately. Arc Mate 100iBe

    Approved the thread.

    Fanuc found nothing wrong with the settings i put in for the UOP. they believe it is as you suggested, check the weld circuit thoroughly. i'm just waiting for an electrician to free up to go over it with me. Fingers crossed we find something.

    It's possible that a cable in the weld circuit is worn out, or is loose and causing a poor connection.

    Another more unusual, but possible cause that I've seen is if you have another welder connected to the same welding circuit. Possibly being used to tack a part in before the robot welds, and the two circuits interfere with each other. I'm guessing this probably isn't the case since you said it was working before.

    Got it solved. I had expressed to Fanuc that I had 3 Weld & UOP I/O's that were shared that I couldn't change. This was causing the trouble. I was able to simply unassign the UOP I/O's that overlapped with the Weld I/O's, as I didn't need them anyways. All is well now.
