    I have the new Robot studio 2023 software installed on my computer and my robot ware version is 6.15.03. I can create from back up with IRB1400, 2400, 4400 but when I try with a backup from IRB2600 and IRB4600 I don't see the backup information and cannot proceed. I'm fairly confident this has something to do with my media pool but would like help to figure out what I need to download and put into my media pool so I am able to create systems for IRB2600 and IRB4600.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    I have not encountered any problems when creating a system from an IRB 4600 backup with RobotStudio 2023.2.

    What do you mean with that? Are there any messages or errors?

    Did you try to reinstall RobotStudio as an administrator?

    Look in the root directory of your backup folder for a file with the name system.xml.

    Open the file (I use a web browser after right clicking on system.xml). The used media is specified quite close to the top of the file.

    <UsedMedia>

    <Media path="C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\ABB INDUSTRIAL IT\ROBOTICS IT\MEDIAPOOL\ROBOTWARE_5.15.8017" name="RobotWare" version="5.15.8017.08"/>
    <Media path="C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\ABB INDUSTRIAL IT\ROBOTICS IT\MEDIAPOOL\SAC_5.15.8017" name="SAC" version="5.15.8017.08"/>

    </UsedMedia>

    Make sure your media pool contains the those files.

    DS186,

    When I open system builder in robot studio and click create from back-up, I have the media pool folder selected and when I select the back-up file nothing appears. The "next" button is still greyed out. But when I do this procedure for a 4400 back up file, I get "backup Information" and I am able to click the "next" button.

    SomeTekk,

    I just looked through my media pool and found RobotWare_5.15.9147. I do not have RobotWare_5.15.8017. How can I get this Robotware version?

    For a system with RobotWare 6.15 (see your first post) you have to use the Installation Manager 6. The System Builder will not work for a system with RobotWare 6 or newer.

    I email the local (country [for me that's ABB USA Tech Support]) and ask for a link to an installer file.

    That is just an example of what the file looks like. You should look into your file and see what version is installed on the particular robot which is causing the issue.
