KILL Command on Fanucs

    I've been working on a few Kawasaki projects lately, and on them, there is a command you can issue via KrTerm that will clear the currently pulled up program, called KILL.

    I'm looking at how to do this on Fanucs. A lot of my work flow involves ftping files directly into the controller, and it a bit annoying to have to go change the program that is pulled up if I need to edit it.

    Any method of doing the same thing on a Fanuc?

    FTP is possible to manage programs in the controller.

    FTP must be linked to MD: device to access programs selectable on the robot.

    If you need to edit a program into the controller, you could use Remote TP and Edit program in Background Edit Mode.

    If it starts well the first time, you have not checked all !

    Hm! I have no idea.

    If your robot has KAREL, I've been able to remotely execute KAREL programs by using a simple URL request (browser, Python script, etc). If it's possible to have a KAREL program issue an Abort All command to the foreground task, that might be a (slightly janky) workaround.

    I have a solution, but it is a bit of a hack.

    1. Use Other mode for program select and set your main program to a program called START that only has 1 line of code, : CALL MAIN;. The MAIN program will be your real main.

    2. Set cstopi to abort all in your system config.

    3. Setup a method to remotely trigger the UI signal cstopi.

    Then whenever you want to load any program you abort all and the only program locked for editing will be START, which you would never have a reason to edit anyway.

    Like SkyeFire said, you can also try issuing KCL command from a web browser which performs abort all. You might need to change Remote device responsible for motion control before issuing abort all ($RMT_MASTER = 1). Just make sure to reset the RMT_MASTER again to the original value.
