Uframes for station 2

  • I've attached a photo of what our cells look like. Our company has not had any experience with robotics in the past. This is our first two cells. They are both identical to what is shown.

The product we weld on is giant. Around 2,000 lines of programming per product and we have around 15 products we are programming.

What I need help with is utilizing the existing program that the contract programmer had made with station two of the cell. Both R1 and R2 will be moved down to station two.

From my understanding you can use uframes to duplicate an existing program in a different location. Does that only work with PRs and not Ps?

The contracted programmer just program shifted a 2000 line program and touched up points.

You inserted an external link, I don't follow them, I'm too lazy, and according to experience those will disappear, so not very useful for further usage. ;)

You are right. But you can manipulate the coordinates of the user frame used in the movement program. F. e. see Need Help Creating an Array Program, Anyone Have Examples?

  • Hi !

On my way, i would use the following sequence to copy program on other station.

1- If not done yet: Generate a user frame for each robot on Station one (by using target available on both station...and similar).

If it is not done yet, you will need to transfer your program from User Frame 0 to your new User Frame (station 1) with the option Robot Fixed (the robot must stay exactly where it is while running on a new user frame).

2- Shift the programs according to Rail Position (program Shift).

3- Move the robot the the new shifted rail pos.

4- Generate a User Frame on station 2 (based on the actual rail shift).

5- Do a Frame Offset on the Station 1 program from User Frame station 1 to User Frame station 2

Not sure if it is clear enough !!!

If it starts well the first time, you have not checked all !
