    Hello people,

we have an old XRC that displays major alarm 0200 Memory error (parameter file) and the words "Maintenance Mode" at the very bottom left of the screen.

I assume (or hope) that it has happened due to battery failure. I wouldn't like to believe that it is a breakdown in the electronics.

We have a full backup incl the .hex files

May I ask if you have the procedure to guide us recover, reinitialise, reinstall, (...I don't know which is the right word) the system?

We would like to give it a try ourselves before calling Motoman

    Many thanks in advance

Probably battery failure. Change the battery and load in a CMOS backup in Maintenance mode, and hopefully you should be good to go.

    Hi,

I'm having a similar problem. I changed the battery, but I cannot get out of "maintenance mode". It is an old robot (Yaskawa Motoman XRC-SV3X Series) and we do not have a backup file. Is there any way to do this? It doesn't matter if our user files are deleted, we just want to be able to run the robot properly again.

    Thanks..

If it only boots in maintenance mode then the memory is gone. With no backups the system will have to be initialized and reprogrammed.

I know a thing or two, because I’ve seen a thing or two. Don't even ask about a third thing. I won't know it.
