Currently we parallel shift our programs for similar products where the only difference is the width. Some products are 36" wide, others can be 42", 50" .. etc. Instead of recreating new programs for all these varying widths, we choose to parallel shift to save time.
We weld these products on a sky hook/positioner that rotates the product on 2 axis' so we can reach all required weld joints. Example picture below
Due to the product being rotated and orientated differently for each weld joint, we can't parallel shift the entire program at one time. Instead we do chunks at a time. This proves to still be quite time consuming since these programs are 6000-10,000 lines long.
Is it possible to somehow parallel shift these programs in one shot? Is it possible with Reference points or a user frame? If it is possible, can someone please explain to me how to apply this to new and existing programs.
