Nevermind, it may take more work software wise then installing one of these:
Need to figure out how to attach to back of my robot?
...where are the safety inputs? Does this robot even have safety-qualified inputs? Based on my experiences with Chinese machinery "safety" practices, I would be unsurprised (appalled, but not surprised) if it didn't have any. If so, I wouldn't go near this thing without wearing a bomb-disposal suit.
Remember, regular I/O signals are not safety-qualified. They don't have the reliability, the reaction speed, the dual-channel setup, or a sufficiently Safe means of disabling the robot.
If your light curtain was wired to a Safety-qualified relay that killed the 120VAC power to the robot, that might work. Recovery might be ugly, though.
