You must connect the robot and the pc at the same lan network with the
    same subnetmask (normal lan network)

Create folder in C:\ (C:\OPENCROSSCOMM) of the robot, then copy the
openkuka.rar file and extract the files. Then run OPENCROSSCOMM.exe. On
the robot the job is finished.

now make a folder on a normal PC an extract the openshowvar files. then
    run openshowvar.exe.
Now add a new variable like $tool or $ov_pro and press the start
    command.

    Downloads

Please send me a feedback about openshowvar

    Hi alph,

you can download the files here:

    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=207397

put opencrosscomm on the robot (make a opencrosscomm folder) and openshowvar on the remote PC.

can you give any insight on how you did this? i know its using sockets but you are accomplishing this only using a dll on the robot side..

    Hi,
I pasted the opencrosscom.exe files in C: of KUka but i am unable to run the exe file. There is no option in the robot to run.
Can you guide me how to do that.

    Regards

you need to execute it after the robot runs.. actually, you could put a menu entry into menukeyuser.ini that allows you to select it to run, then it will stream information across the network. I wrote the same type plugin for a robot but its still very buggy.
