Kawasaki servo board problem

  • Hi,

I have a problem with the R05N Kawasaki robot. The robot doesn't start and write out this one:

"Incorrect operation of safety relay KS2 (Servo board1)."

I don't know what is this KS2 relay. Do you have any idea what happend this robot? Or what is this the KS2 relay?Any idea solve the problem?

We changed the servo board, but the problem have still.

Thank you any idea for this,

    Bence

Was the robot fully operational until this fault appeared or has anyone been inside the controller making new electrical connections etc?

The error is being reported from the servo board, not necessarily the servo board being at fault.

Power distribution/Control and fan source supply comes from the MC Unit/Power Unit.

    Including the brake supplies.

If you have separate brake release buttons, you could try the brake release of any joint (care must be taken due to gravity, so check a joint that is not opposed to gravity).

This would rule out a 24VDC issue from within the MC Unit and Power Unit.

What controller are you using, a cabinet style (Exx) or universal (E0x)?

    - Cabinet style uses MC Unit.

    - Universal style uses Power Unit.

Either unit can be completely removed and disassembled on the bench and all boards should be available as spare parts from your local Kawasaki distributor as well as complete MC and Power Units.
