I have figured out how the robot and PLC is communicating using integers. I know when the robot picks up product, it sends DO to PLC, and PLC sends DI back telling the conveyor to send more parts to be picked. How does this work if I send a DO to PLC saying i placed a part on the pallet, and if it doesn't the robot will not proceed? I am looking for a way to keep the robot in step regardless what happens. in my head i am seeing robot picked part, robot sends message to PLC saying it picked part, robot placed part, robot sends message to plc saying it placed part, PLC recieves message saying robot placed part, PLC sends message to conveyor saying its ok to send another part.
Does this sound correct? How would I do this?
