Kuka Med - can't set a TCP

    Hello guys,

    I'm doing my "first steps" on a medical Kuka (LBR_Med_7_R800).

    Is there any way to set a TCP via the smart PAD?

    • I can access the tool calibration menu and open the "select tool" droplist, but this droplist is empty. I couldn't find any way to create a new tool.
    • We are working on a Kuka MED, via the "Safety Maintenance" user group. The menus look much more limiting than the a non-medical kuka with "expert user group". However, "Safety Maintenance" seems to be the only user group available in the dropdown menu.

    AFAIK, you need to create the Tool and its frames from the Sunrise Workbench and load them (together with your project and application(s)) to the robot.

    Also, to use a given tool (and its frame) as the TCP for jogging, you should use the little World button (right edge of the screen, over the X) and select the tool tab (on the smartPAD here it is a little wrench) and then select the frame that will be used as TCP.

    Hi, I am totally agree with above answer.

    By only sunrise workbench, you can set up the tool TCP.
    About the operator modes, you can select the usermode by pushing a button in left-down.

    It is supposed to be appear expert user button.
