Hello everyone
I just got a Motoman K10S and ERC controls. It is very old and very used one. I am not very familiar with robotics but servo drives and servos I have some knowledge and PLCs. My question is that has anybody made any alternative control for this robot? I have in mind few options that I could. My goal is to have robot understand GCODE. Options that I have tought:
- Find somewhere Disk station to ERC to control robot directly from RS port?
- Replace the CPU with S7-1500T kinematics but how to control servo drivers? with pulse?
- Replace ERC and build up a new controls and drivers
- Replaces ERC and servos
My idea is to use that robot to 3D printing but I have no idea the robot cababilitys yet.
