Explicit Messaging (Register 60)

    I need to write a value to register 60 from an AB controller.

    I have done this a few times before but I cannot remember how I figured out the Attribute in the AB Message Control.

    I know it's HEX but can someone please tell me what attribute is needed for Register 60?

    I this it is 46 maybe?

    (25 is register 37 from the last time I have done this)

    Numbers are expressed as the sum of the base raised to a power. For example, using "x" as the base, 375 is 3*x2+7*x1+5*x0. In base 10, i.e. what we use in every day life, you know what 375 means. But if that was hexadecimal (base 16), it would be 3*162+7*161+5*160, equivalent to 855 in base 10. So 25 in hex is 2*161+5*160, or 37 in base 10. So base 10 has 10 numerals; 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10. Base 16 has 16 numerals; 0,1,2,3,4.5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E, and F. A-F in base 10 are the numbers 10-15.

    So to go the other way, 60/16=3.75. So your first numeral is 3. .75*16 = 12, which in hex is C. So 3C hex is the same as 60 decimal - 3*161+C*160 = 6*101+0*100

    My answer would have been simply yes, 60 is 3C in HEX format. But your explanation is great :thumbs_up:
