    Hi everybody,

I'm working on a KR C4 with KSS 8.6 and KR8 R2100 with ArcTech Basic and Advance 3.3.

I would like to create 2 custom modules for my customer so when creating a new program they can select either of those 2 modules depending on which "side" they are working on.

I noticed that there is a folder in C/KRC/Roboter/Template where I added those 2 new templates but it doesn't show up in the template list when creating a new file.

Is there somewhere else I should add these 2 new templates?

    Thanks in advance

    AS far as I remember:

The name of the template must be Vorgabe.dat and Vorgabe.src

In C/KRC/Roboter/Template you will find the template called Module

In C/KRC/TP you should find your Techpackages and there should be a Template directory too

you can modify existing files in that folder but...

it is not enough to place more files there - to get the files recognized by KSS they also need to be added into registry:

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

    Thanks for your replies.

Indeed, I needed to add them via the KRCConfigurator. See below the procedure for info:

    Precondition

    • User group: Admin

    • Windows interface (Minimize HMI)

    • Administrator rights in Windows

    Procedure

    1. Copy the required program templates to the directory C:\KRC\Roboter\Template.
    2. Switch to the directory C:\KRC\Util\KrcConfigurator.
    3. Double-click KrcConfigurator.exe.
    4. Select the tab Templates/Templates list (see image attached).
    5. In the Define new template section, enter the name of the template in the Name field.
    6. Click on Add to all available templates. The name appears in the list Available templates.
    7. Select the template and make the following settings:
      1. In the Define for users section, activate the checkbox at the desired user groups.
      2. In the Attributes section, activate the Fast create checkbox.
      3. Click on Browse for it, select the path of the desired src file and click on OK (see image attached).
      4. If desired, enter a comment in the Comment section.
    8. Select krc\r1\program on the left list and click on enable for directory for the new templates to appear in list (see image attached).
    9. Click on Apply and then Exit.

The template is now available as a template on the HMI.
