    Hey guys,

I have a R-30-iB Compact Plus controller (software version V9.30P/20) and the Hot Start done signal from the System/Config menu is not working. I have tried every start mode, several power cycles of the controller, used different outputs, etc., but nothing helped. The signal never turns on. Did somebody of you experience the same behavior or do you have some tips what I can check and test?

    Regards

    Daniel

Can a compact controller even perform a hot start? I thought the only way to power cycle them was with the controller breaker?

You are right, but you can choose the hot start mode via FCTN > START MODE > HOT. After that, a manual power cycle is required.

This is basically the same as with the Mate controller. I have tested it with a R-30iB Mate Plus controller. Configured the Hot Start done signal, manually turned the power off and on again and it worked as expected.

Are you sure that DO is configured properly? And not used elsewhere in the program?

I am pretty sure, because I have tested with 10 or 12 different DOs configured to different racks (102 and 48).

The Hot Start done signal is now doing its job. The solution is the system variable $AUTOMODE_DO (which is the System/Config entry "Allow Force I/O in AUTO mode"). If it is TRUE the Hot Start done signal works, if FALSE, it does not work.
