Ping time out

    Hallo everone,


    in fanuc robot controller, i have 2 port to connect the other software(for example PLC). i am trying to give the IP address to both of port. but after ping the port the port 2 is not doing ping. and got message Ping ..(IP address).. Timed out.

    what does mean by this message?

    what is timed out in this error?

    You cannot have the second port on the same subnet as the first. This is a fundamental limitation of the controller.


    You'll have to assign the second port a different IP address.

    yes i have ifferent IP address for both the port.

    but the problem is there when i push the button pin to first Port. the message comes with The ping is successed. but when i push button on port 2 IP address, the message comes with The ping is time out.

    as per your reply, you mean to say the subnet ip must be different of the both the port?

    If your first port is 192.168.1.X, your second port cannot be on 192.168.1.Y. At least one of the first three numbers in the subnet must be different.

    i tried to complte removed the ip address from port 1. and then i tried to ping the only port 2 but still the port to can not be ping. still same error('port 2 Time out')


    can i have that file ,from which you posted the photo.

    if you got from internet the link is also fine for me.
