Signal exchange between S7-1500 and Robot Controller

    Hello guys,


    I was reading on your forum that we need to swap in the PLC or in the robot software the integer so we can read them in the same order in the PLC. However, I have searched a lot about this topic and I haven't seen any manual stating that we need to swap. Do you know where it is written this information?

    KUKA robot controllers are using the Intel data format. You will find information about it in the WOV documentation.


    E.g. Siemens is using Motorola format. This requires byte swapping on either the robot or the PLC side.

    you can simply try setting bits one by one on one end and see what comes out at the other end...

    if they are matching, they will look exactly the same. if after 8bits you see difference (change in order) then you need to do byte swapping.
