UFrame "Attached" to robot on a rail

  • Hi,

I'm working with a Fanuc R-2000-iA with controller RJ3iB. In RoboDK I generated several curves (paths for milling). I loaded the milling curves in RoboGuide where they are linked to UFrame_9.
My problem is that, when I jog the robot over the rail (extended axis E1), the curves also move with the robot.
When I look at the properties of UFrame_9, I see that it is "Attached" to the robot. The pull-down menu is grey so I cannot select another (a stationary) object/frame to attach UFrame_9 to.

How can I manage that the curves remain stationary while the robot moves over the rail in order to reach the curves for milling?

  • Your extended axis need to be integrated so that the UFrames remain fix. Probabibly you have them as auxiliary. In controlled start, check them under MENU -> Maintenance

  • Thanks that sounds hopefull...
In my RoboGuide menu's (of the TP) I don't see the option to Cycle Power (in order to do the controlled start). Any idea how to do a controlled start anyway?
