Custom Robot Connection Cable Vendor Recommendations (US Vendor Preferred)

Hello. I am installing a new Fanuc robot in a few weeks, but this question is brand agnostic.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a third-party robot cable manufacture?

The robot is a Fanuc M410iC/185. The standard pipeline robot that we are going to use (and have already received), comes with 7m connection cables from the controller to the robot base. In the case of this robot, their are 3 non-flex rated cables. Two un-shielded for motor power, and one shielded for the encoders and other low-voltage signals. They all have industry standard Harting HAN connectors on the end that connects to the robot base, the other ends are broken apart in the control cabinet.

Due to customer cable routing requirements, we are roughly 3m short. Fanuc offers 14m connection cables, but like a lot of things right now, they are back ordered. On top of that, it would leave a 4m bundle of cables to deal with on one end or the other. Plus, I really hate that every time we go with longer cables, Fanuc just gives us the 14m cable in addition to the 7 meter cable, which aren't compatible with each other, due to the different end terminations.

I am sure there must be vendors out there that can provide a short extension with a male and female connector on either end, but I am having a hard time finding one. Does anyone have any recommendations? If only international vendors are available, that would be okay, but we are located in the United States Midwest. We would like to keep it as close to home as possible, but anywhere in the CONUS would be acceptable.

Funny you should say that. I snapped this earlier this afternoon...

My problem has been solved, but not in the way that I had hoped. Fanuc is out of stock of the 14 m non-flex cable sets. Maybe I should sell these miss-orders while the market is strong:

We have a concurrent project where we thought we needed these for another four M410's. It was a repeat job with a few minor changes; one being that the controllers got moved next to the cell instead of the wall a few feet opposite of it. The 7m cables that they ship with anyways were good enough, so these were sitting on the shelf waiting to be returned.

I guess I should be happy that they ship with the normally wasted 7m cables.

One sore point:

While asking, okay shop talking with another co-worker, I told him of my situation. He informed me that we had two of the 7m cables sitting on the shelf from the first go round when when didn't need them, because we needed the 14m sets. He was thinking what a perfect use for them, we'll cut them down to 3m and only have to install female Harting connectors ourselves on the cut ends.

Well, they got disposed of because they sat around for too long. Quality rules state they have to be made inoperable before getting disposed of.

They are already at the recycler's, with the original Harting connectors removed via snips.

I almost felt as bad as when I learned that the 90 some LR-Mate 200-iD RCC's got disposed of.

Those were cool machines, two of them with 32 Mates in a row, and two with 17 Mates in a row. A few of them where able to utilize the stock RCC's. I can't say much more than that.

I had to edit this, first for grammatical errors, and second because a cool dude called me right before I first posted this.

I just hit submit before I could review this. After talking for much longer than I should have, I realized the story had some gaps. Those have been filled. I think too many of us have had to deal with similar circumstances.

I still have an empty spot for the destroyed cable sets. My company does do a bit of work in the Nuclear industry, and unfortunately for these poor "yellow noodles", their spares must fall under the same restrictions that keep a lot of other people safe.

Does Empire or International Wire & Cable have the drawings for the standard RCC's?
