I am attempting to install a new sunrise project onto my lbr iiwa 14. The project appears correct in sunrise, and I can see the correct IP in the pop-up window when you install. However, part way through the install, I get a number of errors claiming "the network path was not found" and numerous "failed creating directory 172.31.1.147//KRC/...."

    Any ideas would be helpful!

are you sure your computer and robot controller are in a same subnet? did you connect Ethernet cable to correct port? is the Ethernet cable ok? does SmartPad connect to robot controller? did you try connecting computer monitor to robot controller or RDP to see if it is working ok?

Hello, thank you for your response.

1/ I verified that the computer and robot are in the same subnet. I get a response by pinging the robot.

    Robot: 10.34.45.169/ Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Computer: 10.34.45.170

2/ The Ethernet cable is correctly connected to the port X66.

3/ SmartPad blocks when I try to install a new application. In sunrise workbench, I get the message "Network path was not found" and numerous "failed creating directory 10.34.45.169//KRC/....", then in the SmartPad it shows "Initializing Robot Interface...".

4/ I didn't try to access to the robot controller, i will try to do so and keep you updated

    Hello again,

I tried to access the robot controller via RDP, and the connection was successful. However, when I attempt to install a Sunrise project, I encounter the same error.

I created a new project with only a simple logger test in Java. I followed all the steps outlined in the manual, but when I try to install the project, I get the following errors:

After the installation attempt, the SmartPad loses its connection.

On the physical SmartPad, I keep seeing the message: "Initializing Robot Interface" continuously.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

i do not recall KRC folder on sunrise controller. perhaps you can share more info. what is the SWB version? what is the SunriseOS version on the robot controller? is your new project compatible? can you just get current project from robot and deploy it back without issues?

I recently started working on a KUKA iiwa 14 during my internship. I'm using Sunrise Workbench 1.16, which I obtained through KUKA customer support, and the robot runs KUKA Sunrise.OS 1.16.0.7.

The robot is an LBR iiwa 14 R820 MFT SC FLR, and we received it from another lab.

I managed to retrieve an existing project from the robot and reinstall it without any issues when I used the RDP. However, I tried to do the same thing with the physical SmartPad and I had the same error saying "Exception when finishing action: the network path cannot be found ".

I also tried to use the RDP to install my own project and the problem persists.

This is very strange and I couldn't find any more info.

    Thank you for your assistance!

it would appear that temporary network share is created while doing transfer but something is preventing that, possibly something that got changed or corrupted on the hard disk... if you have KUKA recovery usb stick and previous image, that would be my plan of attack. of course always make backup of whatever you have now before proceeding...
