We have some new fanuc robots that i need to turn on the purge system every 4 hours for the sealant system while we are in a week shutdown. The sealant system runs thru the robot and a DO416 turns it on. I was able to write a program that turned on a unused DI that was config'd and using the interconnect feature i was able to turn on and off the DO 416, my problem is now the auto purge that the program does when the robot is running normally (it purges at the start of a run if not used within 5 minutes) no longer works because the DI i used isn't on and therefore the DO 416 is off and stays off. We are planning on being down for about a week straight so we don't want to have to manually purge all the robots every so often, but we want it to still work automatically when we start back up. is there a way to get around this interconnect where if something else (ie the robot) tells it turn on in a program it will bypass the interconnect and still turn on?
