KUKA - No file access possible

  • Greeting everyone

Does anyone has experience with error message "File Access not possible" ?

It happens when we try to overwrite files (nc/mnc) directly into the robot, and the only solution to read the files is to restart the robot.. but it's not a solution cause we have to make restarts every hour

    looking forward to your suggestions

    Kind regards

  • KRC version? KSS version?

What files? System files, your own program files, what? What changes when you reboot the robot? Does a reboot just allow you to overwrite the files without errors? Are you using Cold Boot, Hibernate, or other?

Look at the modules in the robot you are trying to overwrite. Do any of them have a small icon that looks like a bit of chain on the corner of the module icon? (Look closely, it's very small). This is an indicator that that module is either selected, or linked to a module that is selected. "Selected", in KRCs, means that the module is loaded in the call stack.

What process are you following to overwrite files?

Have you cancelled the Robot Interpreter before you try overwriting these files? The "R" status icon should be grey.

Given that rebooting seems to get you past the problem, I doubt the SPS is at issue, but if your SPS accesses any of these modules you're also going to need to temporarily cancel the SPS in order to avoid this error.
