Greetings,
I have an ABB IRB 910SC robot for pick and place of circuit boards cut from a multi up PCB panel. Originally it had two vacuum pads picking and placing.
To increase throughput we had an automation team (outside vendor) reconfigure the head to add two more vacuum pads and double production.
The robot upgrade has been running well for about 8 months.
The machine recently had some air pressure issues that required rebooting the entire machine several times, and that includes the robot. After the last reboot, the robot is in a
"robot in unknown position, manually jog robot to safe position" error. Of course, it's in it's normal area of travel, but we did move all axis. Upon further
investigation we noticed in the inputs and bool (on the pendant) that the upgrade is no longer installed? It shows only the original two vacuum pads. All the other required
inputs and true/false statuses for vacuum pads 3 & 4 are no longer in the program. I think the "unknown position" error is a byproduct of this.
Quite honestly, I'm a golf ball in the tall grass here....is that something that happens ? Occasionally? What is my recovery?
Appreciate any help,
TS
