Motoman SK300 FormCut

    Hi, I am a newbee to robots.

    I have a Motoman sk300 with an XRC controller and would like to get FormCut option working if possible. Not for commercial use just a big hobby.

    Contact your local Yaskawa office. They could turn it on for you. It is a purchased option.

    You will have to have them tell you how to do it. It is considered proprietary information.

    Form cut does not work on all robots. Normally only the 20 and 50 series. UP20, HP20, UP50, HP50....


    This was an option developed for water jet cutting, so the larger robots would not follow the paths correctly.

    Thanx for that. Would it still be possible to get upgrade firmware for my SK300 and

    what third party software could be adapted.
