How to create a backup of real robot via RoboGuide

  • On the virtual controller back up the robot how you would normally ( I always select MC) then go to "My workcells" folder, open whichever project it is, open "Robot1" then open MC folder and the backup will be in there

  • You can backup a real robot directly from Roboguide.


    Assuming you have the real robot setup in your robot neighborhood:

    • In Roboguide, double click your robot, in the robot properties window that pops up, select "Serialize Robot"
    • On the new pop up screen select "Create an exact copy of an existing robot".
    • Click the Robot Neighborhood icon to the right of the text box and find select your real robot.
    • Click next and follow the prompts
    • Afterwards, click apply on the robot properties window (where you originally clicked "Serialize Robot")

    If you need to add your robot to the robot neighborhood, Open the robot neighborhood from your start menu. And fill in the information for a new entry in your group.
