I have Yaskawa Motoman MPX3500 ,I had a few questions,Please Answer my Questions Below.
1)What is the purpose of the hole under the S- gearbox ?
2)What is the purpose of the Red Box in Bottom of S -Base?. This is just an empty box connected by a hose under the S Axis gearbox. A closed valve is also in the way (Attached pic).

For your questions, why that is important to know what are these hole and box?
If your gear have problem and you must change, use maintenance manual for change any of part. That aren't important a hole or empty box in your work.

Thanks for Reply ,Due to the sudden leakage of grease from this hole.This hole and box has become important for my work.
