We have recently purchased a proface hmi and GP Pro EX and are having issues connecting our HMI to the Fanuc robot (R30iB mate plus controller) via ethernet. We have the HMI device option and the ethernet/ip I/O adapter option. We can ping to the robot from a laptop and can ping from the robot to the HMI, however we seem to be getting a communication error on both the HMI and the robot. Can anyone clarify what Device/PLC settings we should be using on GP Pro EX to be able to communicate with the robot.
Further to this we are also struggling to figure out how to address the switches to the inputs on the robot. Can anyone advise on how to do this?
