RJ2 Controller No auto cycle start

  • So I inherited a LR mate with a RJ2 controller that doesn't have a cycle start button, I am assuming this is because it was running off a PLC. I am used to the newer controllers that have a start button. I found this thread and wanted to know if:

Newbie can't turn on the automatic drive

    1. This would work for the RJ2?

    2. Would it be easier to integrate a PLC if I have one?

    3. Is there anything else I can do to make it function in Auto mode quickly for a R and D project.

    Thanks.

  • Yes... you can run the robot in AUTO without PLC and cycle start button, but mind the safety! Robot could run in auto (100% speed) - hope you have a fence integrated.

Find the system variable $TPRUNACCEPT - set it to 1. Then change mode to AUTO, TP = ON, select and run your program from TP (SHIFT + FWD) and when program starts turn off the TP.

    That's it
