How to update offline simulation with backups?

  • You want the Serialize function.


    In the hardware tree, right-click on the Robot (not the controller), and select Properties. This will open a window with several options for that robot. Use the Serialize button.


    This will take you back to the original setup menus as if you were creating the virtual robot from scratch. You want to choose "Create Robot from Backup", choose the correct backup, and Click Next through the next menus until you can Finish.


    After that, you will need to hit the Apply button on the Properties Window, and RoboGuide will warn you that the robot has been altered and needs to be rebuilt. This will take a few minutes.


    This will basically re-create the virtual robot as a copy of the real robot, when the backup was made.
