This is one of those questions where you will probably get as many different answers as there are multiple ways of skinning this cat
However I can tell you how iv done it, using kuka var proxy or C3 Bridge, run a python script on a pc, run it on a loop and save positions into a file (in my case I used these to generate targets in robodk then created lin moves between each target to recreate the path)
this can also be done on the robot side using KRL alone.
My method worked for me, I'm sure there are krl versions to do the same
Iv also done methods using FSD to collect more data than often required
