hello everyone, we are dealing with an old S3 M93 .We are trying to revive it . Have load parameters from prom and as soon as the Robot moves , give an motor overload foult, checked the error list and it says only initialize the robot, enyone have any idea what could be the issue, thanks

Set the wrist load in the parameters to the actual value mounted. Loading from PROM defaults this to maximum. This fault is common on a 6000/2.4-150 with nothing mounted on the wrist. The robot overreacts when the brakes open as it is trying to catch and hold 150kg.

Thanks Skooter , can you tell me the the path for setting load of the wrist,
-
Depends on your firmware. PARAM > CHANGE > keep pressing SCAN until LOAD > WRIST
Should find it explained in the Parameters section of the Product Manual.

Ok thanks ,

do any off the drive boards inside the cabinet (6) have a red led when this happens?
-
no red lights on drive boards

The motor overload error is most likely the PTC connection in one of the motors.
A physical jamming of an axis or any movement anomaly will report a servo Error.
You can trace the PTC connections at the power cable socket at the base of the robot. C1 and C3 connection is for Axis 1. C4 and C5 is axis 2, C6 and C7 is axis 3, C8 and C9 is axis 4, C10 and C11 is axis 5 and C12 and C2 is axis 6. You should have continuity between C1 and C2 as all the PTCs are connected in series.

Hello Robopal I have checked the motor cables for continuity and in axes 1 and 2 Ispot something wire, two pins on both motors are in contact with one another exactly the F and E pin in both motors ,is that normal ?
-
Some larger robots run parallel wires for each motor phase on the major axes to share current load.
Which manipulator model is this?
-
It is a 1500 I think

Did you download the IRB1500 manual found >here< in the manuals section?
