IRB 6000 M92 Init fault

    Hi Everyone,


    i'm new to this forum and I have a Question and couldn't find the answer on this forum.


    when I power on, or press the init button on the CPU the EN led together with some other led's on the DSQC228 board are flashing after a couple of seconds for 3 or 4 times. The robot doesn't start and the only error message is: 509 SYNC ERROR.

    When you get the 509 Sync error, there will be a 4-digit subcode to the right that gives more detail of the error.

    The error codes are in the back of the Service Manual found >here<.

    The Init button on the CPU is like a reset button. It reboots the system.

    Updating axis 1 rev counter didn't fix it?

    My guess is the DSQC243 SMB are getting hard to find these days.

    You could verify the SMB is bad by moving the robot to sync position and then putting the suspect SMB in and see if it allows the rev counters to update.
