My friend and I are designing a hydraulic arm for a school project. We have designed the hydraulics and were wondering if anyone could give us any help as to where we can start with this/what we need to to make a robot that pushes four levers that control the hydraulics. We are really struggling with this so would appreciate any help.

There exist solenoid valves so can control the arm by a plc or may be an arduino.

They're... just valves. Opened and closed by electrical voltage instead of mechanical levers.
