KRC2 WORKING WITHOUT KCP2

    Hi everyone,


    I have a costumer that have a KUKA KRC2 ed05. And his KCP2 stopped work. The main board need to be repaired.


    But the robot don't work without KCP2 like KRC4 SMART PAD.


    I remembered that I saw a KHS line that the robot works without KCP2.


    I need to know if some of you have already made a jumper on the KCP2 emergency circuit. And if some other cable have to be jumpered in X19.

    Changed the title of the thread from “JUMPER E-STOP KCP2 KRC2” to “KRC2 WORKING WITHOUT KCP2”.

    KUKA has hardware option for that. i only saw in pictures...

    there is a retrofit kit to upgrade existing cabinets...

    if i was after something like this, i would start by checking schematics...

    also if it was me, i would not consider making some plug for X19, it should be easier to make connections elsewhere (on CI3 board). but if it was me, i would also consider why bother? what if someone gets hurt. would i want to be the one explaining that this is not a cause of whatever happened...

    Thankyou panicmode, I will be very clear to costumer about the risk of some employee get hurt. I will just suggest the possibility, the company will make the decision and take the risk.
