PLC and Fanuc

I am a student and I would like to know if it is possible to communicate a siemens PLC with an R30ib + controller without option on the robot. If so, which protocol to use ?

I would like to communicate between S7-300 PLC and R30ib + controller Ethernet TCP / IP. I think I know how to configure the robot but I don't know how to configure sending data in simatic manager. Could you explain to me? Do you need a GSD file like to add a remote I / O module?
