Ethernet IP Communication

    Hello All,

    I just have a simple query. I am new to Fanuc and Ethernet/IP.
    Is it possible to connect multiple Fanuc robots on Ethernet/IP network as Adaptors with a PLC as a scanner. Let us assume the PLC is a Q CPU from Mitsubishi.

    Shouldn't be any problem with that, as the PLC scan list would be just talking to an 'IO device'.

    You would of course require the relevant options in the Fanuc for Ethernet/IP.


    The robot as an adapter is already a common configuration where the PLC is the scanner.

    So an additional robot is just additional IO as far as the PLC is concerned.
