I remember seeing the Integrated PMC option with the offline FAPT Ladder package used on an R-J2 system.
you mean this is an option package on FANUC that we have in ABB(multitasking) and KUKA (submit interpreter) by default?
It is an option, but it isn't like ABB multitasking (this is not standard, but also an option) or Kuka submit, but a software PLC with ladder programming.
May be the RJ2 already has background logic?
Normally you would use BGLogic, which comes standard in newer Fanuc robots. I'm not sure it was available in RJ2.
If I remember correctly it was not standard.
Multitasking with the Run command comes standard on RJ2. You could start a program with an infinite loop that way, but it must initially be started by another program, so not completely independent. Fanuc also has what is called an auto execute program set in the system config menu. I cannot recall if that is available in RJ2.
It may be simplest to just add a PLC. You could get a cheap PLC with onboard IO for less cost than a robot software option.
So it seems at least in RJ2 i haven't simillar option that usually i use in ABB and KUKA.
Did You check if your controller has background logic (BGLogic) ? Even if it's not standard it can be in be installed.
I haven't used BGLogic before, from where i can check whether it has been installed or not?
"They did not have BG Logic until Rj3iA or iB. What you may be seeing is possibly a condition monitor or a connect IO."
This was the answer I received for a similar question in this forum a couple of years ago.
