​Kawasaki robot RS030N mechanical spare part list

Spare parts lists are not generic across variants, these are applicable to the revision of your robot (2nd part of the model no.)

You should have received this list on the supplied disc with the robot, specific to your system.

To make sure you obtain the correct spares, consult your nearest Kawasaki distributor and provide them with the serial no, they will be able to send you the exact revision of spare parts list per your model.

Otherwise you could make an expensive mistake or increase downtime by fitting incorrect parts (this has happened to me several times).

What model no. is your arm, I may have the correct revision?

Only grease in current Kawasaki arms - where is the grease coming from?

Have you done the maintenance recently for that robot? I dont think that is grease leakage because JT5 is controlled with the belt. I think that it might be friction from the belt. Please find the plate from the robot, it might be somewhere mounted on JT1 or JT2, somewhere at the base of the robot.

From memory RS030 JT6 is belt driven and JT5 is driven by gear spurs

That would require the wrist assembly to be removed.

What revision is it......RS030N-A00?

2010 is an early version for sure and looking at the Serial No. of 37.

Attached is A001 revision.

There's an O ring in there that's prone to degrading......pretty sure the wrist assembly requires removing to access it.

Parts lists should be provided with your purchased robot system.

You will be better off contacting your local Kawasaki distributor directly for parts lists as arms have many variants and revisions, by providing specific serial no.s to them, will ensure you receive the relevant parts list for your model.

Believe me, people think all parts lists are the same, they are not, o-rings, bolts, gear pulley's and internal assemblies can differ between variants.

Ok, I understand, but the gears are the same type in all series of robots? If not then which ones have the same gears in them?

Each Arm consists of part no. and revision no.

For example for a ZD130S Arm has the following revisions:

- ZD130S-A001

- ZD130S-A002

- ZD130S-B001

- ZD130S-B002

- ZD130S-C001

- ZD130S-C002

- ZD130S-D001

- ZD130S-D002

- ZD130S-E001

Assuming everything is the same and then ordering spare parts on that basis could be naïve and possibly a costly mistake without referring to the exact revision you are using.

From an end user perspective, you refer to this arm as an ZD130S.

From a tech support perspective or a spares part support, the generic term is not enough.

The revision is also required to ensure accurate information/parts are provided relative to the revision.

Different revisions exist because of change in design, parts or part no's.

Those differences maybe internal placement, physical parts, or parts supplied by a different supplier.

There may not be any major differences between the revisions, but how are you supposed to know that unless you have meticulously gone through each and every document available for each variant of arm and for each revision of that variant of arm.

So when members ask for spare parts lists for arms, there is no such generic list available as they will have a specific revision, therefore it is better to contact your local Kawasaki distributor with that information to obtain the relevant lists.

They will provide them if you ask.....

To further elaborate on this and 'put some missing links in the chain of things'.

In all controllers, SV firmware is required.

This provides the necessary setup and servo parameters for the variant range of that controller.

The controller requires for initial setup a robot model to be set. (ZROBOT).

Then during bootup, the robot model used, dictates which SV parameter set to upload so that the correct parameters are available for the servo group control part of the system can correctly control the motors of each joint.

When new revisions are manufactured of the same robot variant, then changes in the mechanical arm may require a new firmware revision to be written by Kawasaki so that the arm can operate correctly.

Then they will install that new firmware during manufacturing before released to shipping etc.

So don't assume ALL robot arm variants are the same in hardware and software.

Not good enough, there are many revisions for this variant as it used on several versions of controller.

For instance an E controller variant will not operate on earlier controllers.

So you need to mention the controller for any kind of suitable parts list.
