New to Robotics - need a bit of help.

Hi

I am new to robotics and will be using Arduino to start to connect and control to start.

Looking for

A robotic arm that can be controlled with Arduino, and change create functionality.

Fit on a desktop.

Not to hard to understand.

Can build, or ready made setup.

Would be amazing if i could also mount a suction cup, laser engraver as well if need at a later date.

I am in Canada.

I have a build project for school, and then will continue using for other projects in the future doing automation.

Any help or suggestions would be great. Not afraid to spend a bit a of money now for quality usage in the future.

Depends on what level you are looking at - designing from the floor up, or using pre-made systems and applying your own artistic impressions.

One of the best desktop OOBE examples I have seen is the Dobot Magician:

Quite expensive when you compare it to other builds, but can be Arduino controlled after viewing the following:

If I was a youngster, this would be something I would consider as a startup robot as an OOBE to get up and running quickly.

There seems to be plenty of information and continuing development in place for it.
