I have a cell that I've been called in to troubleshoot. While I am very confident that USERCLR and USERPAGE are not the issue, they have caught my eye and I'm curious as to how these work. USERCLR only has 2 lines of code

    1: !Clear the user page

    2: CALL MHUSERCL

    [END]

Now what I find confusing, in the list of programs there is nothing named MHUSERCL. Normally if you call a program that doesn't exist you get a fault, but in this instance it just rolls on through. The other odd thing, I have found that USERCLR is write protected, and you can't remove it.

Again I'm certain that my problem does not lie with these 2 macro programs, but I'm curious as to how USERCLR can call a program that doesn't exist and not fault out.

USERPAGE also only has 2 lines of code

    1: !Show current user page

    2: CALL MHUSERPG

    [END]

And of course there is no program in the list named HMUSERPG. How is this possible? I'm not looking to change anything within them (don't think you can), nor am I looking to remove them from my program. I'm just really curious about them and a search didn't turn up much. Yes I know what curiosity did to the cat...

    Thanks

I bet they are there, but you just have a filtered view on select menu. You should be able to change the view filter to see karel programs.

I'm not sure what filter you are referring to. Are you talking about how when I hit the TP button "Select", and the list of programs comes up, I can it F1(TYPE) and it lets me filter it to the categories of

    1 All

    2 TP Programs

    3 KAREL Progs

    4 Macro

    5 Cond

I chose 1 All, and it still doesn't show up.

Since then, I've found yet another program not in the list that gets called. This one is named HSCDMACR

    This is just getting weird...

One idea: make a backup AOA and look at the files on a PC.

Here is a snap of the directory. As you can see, the files aren't there. I'm so confused....

I've noticed this before too. In my case the program is TM_EXEC; I use it to run TCP Mate from a macro instead of the menu. If I take an IMAGE backup and mount FROM00.IMG, I have the following files in me \OS\FRB directory. I'd bet your situation is something similar. As far as understanding how this works, I have no idea.

I know this is super late response but those are Karel Programs they cant be modified unless you have source code. You can see the contents because you didn't make the source code.
