Irb6400 M96 S3

  • This is my first robot and i am having trouble with it. I get these errors

    Also 10012 Guard stop state

    20001 Enable chain open


    I have made the cold start- still same errors.

    Also controlled cable from SMB to back plane x31 - all wires give signals.

    From where i should look next ? What to troubleshoot ?

  • I got this fixed, yes one resolver cable was broken. But now after i pressed motors on i got drive unit error. Second press and whole system shut down. All red lights on on controllers.


    One step forward one step back again.

    Touchpanel says communication lost.

  • What was the error number for the drive unit problem? Which axis?

    If it shuts down when the deadman is pulled in, I would thoroughly inspect the base cable found in the track in the base of the robot. Have twice seen the sheathing crumble off the cables & wires and had bare motor wires shorting to 24V side of PTC, shutting down the system.

  • Axes 4, 5, & 6 can use the DSQC236G (part # YB560103-CD or paint part # 3E 041804) or the newer replacement DSQC266G (part # 3HAB8801-1 or paint part # 3E 042760).


    Anything after the "/" is the revision number.

    While most DSQC236G revisions will work just fine, if given a choice I would look for revisions 22 or higher.

    The DSQC266G is an updated unit, either revision is fine.
