asynchronous and synchronous linear track

    greetings

    i have a drilling system with KR60 HA robot and Tmf-2 linear track(Gudel)

    there are two cases

    1. drilling

    2. tool change


    i wanted to use my linear track only while drilling

    but for tool change i dont want to use linear track thus tool holders are stationery and its mounted on robot base


    so please help me to synchronise and asynchronise linear track for different programs


    controller= KRC4

    KSS version=8.3.22

    yes its coupled

    tool holder table is attached to the base so we dont want to use external axis for tool programs but for drilling we have to use

    so is it possible disable linear track for some programs ?

  • If it's coupled, you cannot switch it between Synchronous and Asynchronous mode. That is only possible with non-coupled external axes.


    One workaround would be to program the points in your Tool Change path as POS rather than E6POS. This will require creating them by hand in the .DAT file before creating the ILFs that use those motions, but will allow you to still use the TouchUp functions.
