Hi,

I think these files are generated with CAD/CAM software,

Hi,
yes, maybe I'm a bit vague with my question.
I currently use another robot simulator and I generate the apt file with a CAM software that belongs to the same company of the simulator.
I watch the video in the robodk's website in which they use an apt file, I would like to understand if it's created by a robodk software or from other.
As far I know, for now RoboDK just imports .apt files, and cannot create it.
But it can output NC trajectories with .cnc extension, and I think if someone with time and skills can create a post processor to generate .apt files as well.
Hi Guys,
Sorry I miss this one, I was out of the office for some holidays.
RoboDK can import multiple flavor of NC code.
Extensions like .apt, .tap, .nci, .nc, and many more are accepted.
You can take a look at our documentation on robot machining here:
https://robodk.com/doc/en/Robot-Machining.html#RobotCNC
We generally recommend using a generic .apt post-processor form the CAM software as RoboDK doesn't need any machine specific commands.
Have a great day.
Jeremy
