S10 reinstall software via kfloppy after reinstall doesn't keep the software keep showing core4 press enter

Hi guys,

Fanuc S10 reinstall RJ1 (tried an Init start ) software via kfloppy i can see it loading on the Teach pendant. then it goes to library something. Then i unplug and replug the teach pendant. it stay frozen on the loading screen.

and if i power off the and power back on the box controller it doesn't keep (or save the software)

after reinstall doesn't keep the software keep showing core4 press enter (it as if it doesn't write it to the hard drive or something) i have change the PCU unit and the RAM still the same issue.

If I don't in unplug and replug the TP it stays on INTP related sysv (initial)

It doesn't do anything after. ..

and the reason I was unpluging and repluging was on this thread.

i also try , init start by pressing user pb#1 and pb#2. Then init - start. Then loading all until it froze again at the library#1. Then power off. Wait 5 sec. Press pb#1 and pb#2 choose ctrl - start. Then screen is blank

Unfortunately it's not the cable or the TP. I have another s10 robot that is working without issues.

So I took his TP and Cable.

The only think I notice, works when I switch the PCU unit. This is the good PCU that works.

But I can't find out why one PCU is working and 2 PCU don't work and have the same issue. I believe it maybe be the process that I am doing or one of those chips is not working...those are the 2 other PCU..I wonder if it could be the brom version difference...no I don't think so..the one that work has version.1.20. but version 2.0 should work as well. It's like the bios of a computer just to load init or ctrl or cold.

Yeah, so long story short it's not the cable or the TP. Mostly the PCU but what....

Hi guys, so quick update.

I know have 3 BROM V.2.5 - another V.2.3 - another V.1.5.

I Clear the CMOS via pressing USER#1 and USER#2 on the controller (big metal box where you have the drive and all)

then i do INIT - Ok- then Start ...and it freeze there doesn't go to the reboot on the Teach Pendant.

At this point i think the issue is the connection cable between the Teach pendant and the PSU.

I know this that the other teach pendant and cable have different socket configuration. maybe one wire is not at the right place or something.

I can cut the wire and i ordered a Fanuc encoder plug HONDA from ebay fro 25$. but i would need to know where to solder the wire basically the configuration. i've search fanuc website for that data or book but could find anything .

any advice ?

I guess i could try to copy the HONDA plugin form that one that work and give it a try see if it works...maybe the wire color are the same ..
