ABB IRB6640 & IRC5 CONTROLLER Calibration without ABB Tools

    Hello,


    We have a IRB 6640. The motor of the axis 3 have been changed. Since we have a calibration problem.


    May we calibrate the robot without the calibration tools?

    You line up the marks for the rev counter update, do a fine calibration for axis 3 ONLY. Normally, a motor replacement is the only time you would fine calibrate. Take note of the new value for axis 3. If your programs seem ok, then write the new values on the sticker that has those calibration values.
