    Hello,

I have a question regarding the Kuka Arc Tech Package:

In our company we have the following situation:

If the ignition of the arc fails the robot stops and if I restart the robot tries again to light the arc.

If I restart 3 times the robot continues without welding the current seam. The Error message is "Continue without welding"

We want to change this behaviour (to continue without welding).

Therefor I searched in the manual.

According to the manual the parameter is "RESTART_OPT" which was 3.

    First I tried:

I changed the parameter to 1:

"After welding has been interrupted, the robot repositions

the torch to the point of interruption. Welding is subse-

    quently restarted."

Unfortunately there was no change in the robots behaviour when I changed this parameter.

    Then I tried:

Then I changed the parameter to RESTART_OPT=2:

"The same function as with “RESTART_OPT=1”, with the

restriction that the number of permissible welding inter-

ruptions is limited to a maximum value.

This maximum value is defined in the variable

“MAX_REA20”. If this value is exceeded, the seam is

completed without welding and a corresponding

    message is generated."

Therefor I changed the parameter MAX_REA20 to the value 99

but again: after 3 tries the robot continues without welding

I kindly ask for your support since I dint find any other solution in the manual

    many thanks in advance
