KSS8.5, custom linear axis, following program:

$JOINT_OFFSET[7]=-10

As far as I know the robot should move along the linear axis (10mm) after the offset has changed, but it doesn't. I've already tried to stop advanced run inbetween each line with WAIT SEC 0.
When I manually change the E1 value (TEMPAXIS.E1=-10) without using the $JOINT_OFFSET[7] the robot moves as intended.
What I am missing here?
