Hi all!
I've Googled around and have also had brief discussions with product support, but I would like to know if someone on the forum has experience on this matter.
My current task is to make a KRC4 (8.5.8) with VisionTech (4.0.3) to use two stationary cameras for asynchronous operation. Cameras observe different areas and different products that may be picked up depending on decisions made in a supervising PLC. It is desired that the cameras are trigged upon I/O from PLC and handled by SPS.
My problem is that the PLC decide if results from Cam1 or Cam2 will be used, so I guess the result from both tasks must be stored somewhere, and that the RESULT array (among other variables) will only keep results from the latest task performed. How can I accomplish this?
My current thought is that files VisionTech.dat/src may be duplicated and customized to use different variables to keep everything until we know which camera result will be used.
Any other leads, suggestions or how-to's on this?
(I've found out the VT manual mention that only one task can be performed at a time, that is only one VT.TRIGGER per VT.WAITFORRESULT but that I can work around.)
Best regards,
